look beyond the empty cross

I look beyond the empty cross
Forgetting what my life has cost
And wipe away the crimson stains
And dull the nails that still remain.
More and more I need you now,
I owe you more each passing hour
The battle between grace and pride
I gave up not so long ago.
So steal my heart and take the pain
And wash the feet and cleanse my pride.
Take the selfish, take the weak,
and all the things I cannot hide.
Take the beauty, take my tears
The sin-soaked heart and make it yours.
Take my world all apart
Take it now, take it now
And serve the ones that I despise
Speak the words I can’t deny
Watch the world I used to love
Fall to dust and thrown away
I look beyond the empty cross
Forgetting what my life has cost
So wipe away the crimson stains
And dull the nails that still remain
So steal my heart and take the pain
Take the selfish, take the weak
And all the things I cannot hide
Take the beauty, take my tears
Take my world apart, take my world apart
I pray, I pray, I pray

-Jars of Clay-

This song never fails to remind me how I need to look beyond the empty cross and to the Almighty One. Steal my heart again, Papa. Take my world apart, for You.

Take my world apartI look beyond the empty cross
forgetting what my life has cost
and wipe away the crimson stains
and dull the nails that still remain
More and more I need you now,
I owe you more each passing hour
the battle between grace and pride
I gave up not so long ago
So steal my heart and take the pain
and wash the feet and cleanse my pride
take the selfish, take the weak,
and all the things I cannot hide
take the beauty, take my tears
the sin-soaked heart and make it yours
take my world all apart
take it now, take it now
and serve the ones that I despise
speak the words I can’t deny
watch the world I used to love
fall to dust and thrown away
I look beyond the empty cross
forgetting what my life has cost
so wipe away the crimson stains
and dull the nails that still remain
so steal my heart and take the pain
take the selfish, take the weak
and all the things I cannot hide
take the beauty, take my tears
take my world apart, take my world apart
I pray, I pray, I pray
take my world apart

*knock knock*

You seem to know the way, to turn my frown upside down.

You always know what to say to make me feel like everything’s ok.

Dreams that do come true can be as unsettling as those that don’t.
Brett Butler,

Dreams that do come true can be as unsettling as those that don’t.

-Brett Butler-

I chipped off part of one of my molar tooth the other day.

I was having my daily dose of chocolate when suddenly I heard a crack and tasted some pieces of hard ‘candies’ in my mouth. Even as I swirled the pieces in my mouth, already my brain was trying to convince the rest of me that it was just part of the chocolate.

I finally gathered enough courage to spit it out. And true to my fears, a large chunk of my molar was gone from its rightful place in my mouth and was sneering at me from the palms of my hand. I stood stunned for a moment, and then i examined it more closely. It’s a wonder the hours of fun some tooth enamel can be to play with.

*plays with pieces of broken tooth in hand*

Just kidding.

And then a few days after that I had a nightmare that left me drenched in beads of sweat. I dreamed the rest of my tooth had fallen off and I was choking on the bits and pieces that were in my mouth. I woke up and immediately examined my mouth only to find out that it was a dream. And a pretty freaky one at that!

So now, at the persistent nagging gentle reminders from my mom, I traipsed to the dentist to repair my poor tooth. The dentist gave me a grim verdict. The previous dentist only did about 60% job on the root canal. No, that is NOT a good thing. So he gave me two choices:

#1: Leave it and just fill up the chipped off part, thus leaving the bacteria in the partially-not-very-well-done root canal to brew and contemplate their hour of  destruction to one day blow the whole tooth to smithereens; or

#2: Redo the root canal and come back at a later date to do crown what’s left of the infected tooth.

Number two it was!

I wasn’t gonna let some teeny-weeny bacteria haunt my nights with their kamikaze bombings in my mouth!

So now, healthy teeth looks like this:

After he was done with the root canal and cleared up the rotten parts of the teeth, mine looked like this:

Note: Black part at the other teeth are fillings. Not rotten tooth :P

Missing Tooth

Yes, almost 70% of the tooth was GONE! GONE I tell you!

Now who says dreams don’t come true!

.thank you.

I love it.

So much so much so much!

Happily grinning at it everytime I look at it.

Love!

P.S: And no….I shall NOT behave my age.

Are you ready!

isn’t it ironic?

A traffic jam when you’re already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It’s meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn’t it ironic…don’t you think
A little too ironic…and, yeah, I really do think…
Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

It’s like rain on your wedding day

It’s a free ride when you’ve already paid

It’s the good advice that you just didn’t take

Who would’ve thought… it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you

When you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right

And life has a funny way of helping you out when

You think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up

In your face

A traffic jam when you’re already late

A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break

It’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife

It’s meeting the man of my dreams

And then meeting his beautiful wife

And isn’t it ironic…don’t you think

A little too ironic…and, yeah, I really do think…

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you

Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out

Helping you out
